Have you ever had thoughts about if your body is in balance with nutrients and minerals. Today people tend too take to many or to little on supplements, thinking it's helping their bodies. Did you know that your hair contains all the minerals present in your body, including nutritional minerals as well as toxic heavy metals. Your hair contains the same proportions of nutrients that are in your body. So doing a hair analysis will tell you if you have deficiencies or excesses. As an example, Zinc is involved in the production, storage, and secretion of insulin and is necessary for growth hormones. Excessive amounts of Zinc can reduce the beneficial effect of Vitamin D. Magnesium is required for normal muscular function, especially the heart. A deficiency has been associated with an increase incidence of heart attacks, anxiety and nervousness. Frontal headaches (behind the eyes) are associated with too much copper. Milagro Herbs offers a full spectrum hair analysis. Come by or call for more detail, (505)820-6321.

Herbal Intensives
Introduction to Herbal Actions and Energetics: We will begin this class exploring some basic herbal energetics, classifying herbs (with our senses) in terms of their qualities of hot, cold, dry, or damp. We will also talk about our own energetics as individuals (“I always run hot”… "My skin is super dry all year”…), and think about appropriate herbal compliments for individual constitutions and imbalances. In the second part of this class we will introduce some principle herbal actions, give herbal examples, and discuss how these actions are relevant to common ailments. This class goes beyond a “this herb for that illness” approach and presents a much more dynamic, personalized, and effective way to match herbs to individuals. A great place to begin your herbal journey or to dive deeper. $25. Thursday, November 7th, 10 am-Noon. Instructor: Emily Rose
Easing Tense Bellies with Bitters, Aromatics and Nervines: It is no secret that our nervous and digestive systems are directly connected.
