Herbal Medicine and First Aid in the Field
Date: (September 10, 2017) 10AM - 4PM
This course will explore how to use herbs and herbal preparations for first aid. There will be a dual focus on what herbs to carry in a kit, for a day hike or extended backcountry trip, and how to identify and use plants in the field.
The class will be held indoors and will cover: Foundations of herbal medicine, herbal approach to wound care, digestion, immune response, acute stress reaction, hydration, pain and more.
Cost: $45 (Limited to 15 participants)
